 Biography

Yatendra is working in the field of molecular biology of cancer with primary focus on proteins of p53 tumour suppressor family. At present, he is working as DST-INSPIRE Faculty at Dr. B. R. Ambedkar Center for Biomedical Research, University of Delhi. Yatendra completed his PhD from National Institute of Immunology. He has received many awards including DST International Travel Support Award, CSIR foreign travel grant, best poster award on National Science Day Poster Competition at NII, CSIR-JRF etc. He has been serving as an editorial board member and reviewer board member of several national and international journals.


In addition to his own research projects, Yatendra has been associated with various organizations. He worked at Apac Biotech Pvt. Ltd. as an Consultant molecular oncologist. The company is trying to develop immunotherapy against cancer by using customised autologous dendritic cells. Yatendra is a natural science writer. His idea is not only to produce some useful research but to popularize science among masses. In this direction, he undertook a training course in "Science Journalism". He is the founding member of Cerebroz Edutech Corporation, which reaches out to school students’ education through audio-visual medium. Yatendra is actively working to advance science outreach.


 Research Interest

His research interests are Molecular Biology of Cancer, Cell and Tumor Biology, Angiogenesis, Cancer Antigens, Cellular Signalling, DNA Damage and Repair, Cell Cycle, Metastasis, Oncogenes and Tumor Suppressors.
